How We Support Student Safety

Key elements of our program include:
- Age-appropriate student learning about personal safety, boundaries, trusted adults, and self-advocacy through the Empower curriculum and related classroom lessons.
- Annual child safeguarding and protection training for staff, volunteers, coaches, and other adults who work with students.
- A school-based Child Protection Team that helps implement procedures and respond to concerns.
- Clear expectations for professional conduct through the school’s Code of Conduct.
- Guidance for trips, events, student travel, online learning, and other school-related activities.
- Careful attention to confidentiality, student dignity, and appropriate communication when concerns arise
.Partnership with Families
We believe safeguarding is most effective when schools and families work together. We provide information and training opportunities for parents and caregivers, share age-appropriate safety education with students, and encourage open communication when concerns arise. Our goal is to create a preventative, educational, and supportive approach that helps every child feel safe and known.
